There have been emails making the rounds here as well as in our mailboxes and I realize that somewhere,  someone had to think up the questions that are routinely asked.   There's a couple of them,   that are the same, on JU that have been posted by more than one blogger and many of us reply to the second and third go round.  It's fun to communicate to others our likes and dislikes,  ect. I got to thinking this past week about doing one myself,  ...

She gets these running streaks,   she must think she's still a kitten or maybe she's running and playing the way the animals do on Africa cam. She lets out the most planitive type of wailing,  then looks around to see if anyone is listening and then if I glance at her,   she's off and tearing up the hallway. Sometimes she'll jump up on furniture and then jump back off right away,  sneak up on me ( she thinks) and try to slap me with her paw. ...

I was treated to the company of my number 2 child yesterday, and also Saturday,  so I wasn't around to blog about things that have been on my mind lately.  I had planned on blogged about the good things in life,  the things I take for granted,  the things I love, and why I have to keep kicking myself to try to be humble when I'm so happy.  Then tonight,  the city broke a water main and we have no water now until tomorrow...so i was going to blog about life's ...

OK,  just some information from "back in the day"  when I took a temp. cooking job at the Eau Claire County jail,  year was 1969. I think I've blogged about this before,  at least stated that I had cooked there.  Maybe I didn't write about the meals... Breakfast was basic,  oatmeal,  toast with butter and jam on the side.  Milk, juice, and coffe.  Fruit.  On the weekend I'd make pancakes and fry sausage and bacon,  with eggs. ...

My son and I have been playing "Pool" and another game that's like Scrabble,  called "Literati" I think.  We play them online and this concept is totally new to me! Being tech challenged I lost almost every single game until just this week,  then one night,  shortly after my blog about inmates and their meals,  somehow I managed to win 7 or 8 games in a row!  Gosh dang it,  he was "letting me win"!  Don't ya just hate it when someone "lets you ...

Things are going along swimmingly well here,  no new outbreaks of serious diseases,  no landlord just walking into my apt. when he feels like it,   no shortage of food,  and man oh man there's lots of heat in MN.! Just when it finally cooled down to a comfy 74 degrees,  the weather did an about face,  again.  That's the mid-west for ya. The inmates in Dakota County, MN. have it soooooooo bad,  my GOD!  Seven days a week,  365 days a year,  they get to have two bologna sandwiches,  along with fruit, like an orange and cookies and chips.    That's what they get,  5 days a week,  and on weekends they get two meals a day.  Brunch and supper.  They threw a fit claiming it was against their "rights" to have sooo many hours between meals,  as break...

It's very frustrating to not understand how to do things with a computer!  All I wish to do is establish a free counter on my blog,  and do you suppose I can figure it out?  Heck no!  So I will have to ask for help,  from JoeUsers and also my son,  if he's out there somewhere,  in puter land... Please?  How to do it?  I went to a free site,  followed ALL the directions,  right down to the copy and paste part,  no...

Fair warning here,  if ya don't like "boring trite blog enteries"  then do piddle along to the next blog... Thank you. Now,  it's been a strange day here,  I don't quite know what to make of it.  People are so damn strange,  so wonderful,  and so,  so.....well just plain confusing. One lady that lives here has been so nice to me!  She gave a caftan that is satin in fabric,  and the colors are rich and vibrant.  Colors I'd never choo...

Perusing the local paper's "Sheriff's Report" is always an entertaining event. From the 4th of August came the story of a concerned citizen that called the Sheriff to report a suspicious person walking down the street,  carrying what looked like a gun. It turned out to be unfounded,  it was young blong girl,  dressed in jeans and tee-shirt,  carrying a birthday cake..... Ya that's the kind of stories we get up here.   Sadly there's always the "bad news"...

Has the Universe ever bopped you on the head,  trying to get your attention?  You know what I mean,  the kind of message you keep getting until ya pay attention? Tuesday I bought a beautiful Subway "Ultimate chicken and bacon ranch" sandwich.  The FIRST clue I got that I shouldn't be eating so much was when the chickie ringing up the tab tried to turn a $8.39 tab ( plus 6.5 cents tax) into $10.40!  THEN she agreed it didn't sound right and tried to charge me for "doub...

And now from the Pioneer Press Bulletin Board; "Peggy of South St. Paul:  "I reminded my oldest daughter that she will be attending school patrol training late in August.  My youngest daughter misunderstood the conversation and wanted to know why her sister was going to troll training. "Now we're all picturing stooped creatures with lumpy noses and long,  scraggly hair,  wearing orange safety vests and saying in gruff voices:  'Who's that trip-trapping across ...

And now the latest news out of Oakdale, MN. According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press,   a 66 year old woman called the cops about strange and suspicious "goings on" at her home. She lives at the 600 block of Heron Avenue North and says that when she got home she found a plastic bag, ( from Cub Foods) on the steps to the front of her house.  It had hair in it! I imagine someone has it in for her!   Sounds like a "Gaslight" happening!
