That's what "they" say and by golly "they" meant it!

I've spent some amount of time and effort now "looking" for....well let's just say a relationship....tried a free site,  and over at one that costs money only had a couple of 40 year olds try to contact me and one 29 year old....

My wish was for nothing fancy,   shoulda known....ya get what ya wish for?

I finally was asked out on a date,  yes by a man.   It was so,  soooooo...different.....

I appreciate you and am lucky to have a great son!

You truly are the "wind beneath my wings".

The day might have been short,  however I had a wonderful time.  Just sorry I couldn't have walked more than we did.

Perhaps this summer we can go on walks,  looking for agates?!

P.S.  I couldn't have eaten more than I did,  so please know that I didn't come away hungry from our meal out

Love and hugs,  Mom

Good Ole Minnesota...

it's got two seasons,  Winter and " Road Construction VS the Mosquitoes"!!

Only NOW it's Spring vs Winter vs Road Construction vs Bridge Closings!

Take your pick.  If ya didn't like the 70 degree weather yesterday,  welcome to today,  30 above with gusting winds and blowing snow...

So today has been odd for me,  slept last night from 5 til midnight,  then got up and stayed up til 5 a.m. then crashed until 9 this morning!  Good ...

It's been a wonderful spring day here,  hard to believe that there's a war raging on,  car accidents taking loved ones from family and friends,  hard to accept that life just keeps rolling along despite pain that rips people apart...

I saw a Robin feeding a young one this morning,  the nest was strongly built in a pine tree outside our building.  When the Robin spied me spying on her,  she flew away,  screaming and trying to draw me to her,  to keep her...

Isn't it odd how "back in the day"  families were together because they had to work together,  side by side in the fields,  together in the barn,  in factories,  the mines,   and NOW for crying out loud,  all the gadgets,  devices,  tools that have been invented to help man ( woman too) kind,  so that families could be together at home and in church,  are some of the same things that drive them apart??!!

Did you happen to see that ep...

Wisdom teeth got pulled on Tuesday,  my son's wisdom teeth.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We rode down to the twin cities with a private company,  they've proven to me that they have great drivers and are willing to bend over backwards to help with whatever we need.   Our driver was a retired firefighter,  served St. Paul for 21 years.
His driving scared the bejesus out of me as well as my son!  The bus would be going along just fine and then "whoosh...
 Somethings in Survivor just don't change,  like the lucky soul that finds the hidden "immunity idol"   and then he/she doesn't use it at Tribal Council!!  These "lucky souls" are so sure of themselves that they sit gloating,  smirking,  thinking that they're "all that" and then are shocked and angered when they're voted off.
That's what happened in tonight's episode,  good ole Ozzy,  the good-looking dude that played a mean-spirited trick,  m...
It's all about banana bread,  believe it or not!
  It's been a very strange day here,   then again it's been strange here for most of this spring....
I think I mentioned before that I'd been thinking of a friend,  missing them,  even dreaming of this person,  in the dream I got a VHS from them, and the movie only had heart sounds in it,  along with words about "heart health"  and "hearts beating".  The next day I we...
Some things in life we find "simply irrisistable"!,  whether it's our baby cooing,  our dog barking joyfully when come home,  a certain food,  the way some people  dress,  whatever comes to mind.
For me,  it's:
  "extra sharp cheddar cheese comes to mind,  prolly cause I"m eating some of it!
Puppies,  any breed!  Although I'm partial to Collies.
Easter dresses,  and new shoes too, of course!
Lilacs,  have to pick som...
Happy Birthday to me!
I guess birthdays are what we make of them.  A person needs to look within themselves for their own happiness.
It's still an honor though ( imho) when people take the time to wish them a Happy Birthday.
Some people have a hard time saying the words,  much like a boyfriend that can't get out the proposal of marriage!   However one knows when they're loved and cared about,  it's about how they've been treated for the E...
Happy April Fool's Day!
Hope you didn't get too much salt in your sugar bowl  or find your tennis shoes had the laces tied together.
March went out like a lion yesterday and all night into the wee hours of our first day of April.  High winds,  snow that melted during the day hours froze on the cars when the air turned cold.
It was mostly all gone by noon though,  and I drove down the county highway at 8:30 a.m.,  throwing caution to the wind,  enjoying...
Heaven
Heaven is just a note away
Heaven is lilacs in May
Heaven, it's a new box of crayons
Heaven is black etched trees against the fading light
with geese in flight
It's been a long day, week, winter...
and I"m longing for warm spring days
filled with sunlight and children's laughter
My favorite month, of course. is May
I waited all day for that Eagle
he flew right past my window
and I had to be on the phone
and couldn't reach the camera
What I got ins...
I came soooooooooo close,   I had planned on buying a PowerBall ticket,  using my birthdate,   the year and date,    not the month and my first wedding date,   ( as the PowerBall number)  since it was the 16th of April,  1966,   and the numbers that represented my age when dad passed away and the year I got sick.
I forgot to go buy it.
AND the numbers were straight on.  NO bullshit.
Damn!
I could t...
  I tried to chase winter out of Minnesota today,   it didn't work.  I had fun trying though!
Breakfast was eaten on the run,   grabbed sandwiches and coffee for me and my son,   drove to his place,  and we headed out for parts not seen since before we moved last year.
Our old favorite,   KayBee Toy Store,   didn't have a whole lot to offer.  I remember it having loads of good things.  I got myself a corkscrew at th...
  Yup,   I'm talking about that funky smell that sometimes some people get,  in their inny or outy,   the good ole belly button dilemma!
I Googled it and the results were muy interesante!  very interesting indeed.  The " decent" websites advised people with foul odor emanating from this weird aperature we have,  to be checked out by a doctor,  cause they could have a yeast infection or more serious issue,  such as a hernia.
Some of the...
