After a couple of days of feeling blue, tonight I'm more in the pink
I'm inheriting my son's "clunker" as he bought himself a much newer, prettier, classier car. He's sooooooooooo happy with his new toy and I'm happy to be getting wheels.
It might not look like much, however it'll get me to points A and B, just enough to get out of the house, and perhaps by spring I'll trade it in for something a tad newer myself..
I'm not gonna get off scotfree however, even though he's such a gentleman he wouldn't and hasn't asked for anything ( $$). I asked him if he'd recently gassed it, and yep, $30.00 worth, plus new tires, and heaven knows what else. So I'll pay for the tires, gas, and the "heaven knows what else"
That way I won't feel like such a bum, and it will help him re-cupe his expenditures.
I tried some online quotes and went with the second one, Progressive. I"m pretty happy with the amount and coverage and for someone who hasn't had a car for 4 years, nor insurance, it was ok.
My record is impeccable, however that doesn't translate to insurance companies, I think they look at whether or not one has had coverage. I did and then dropped it to take care of my dog.
Not a bad choice, just didn't know what the consequences would be there. ... ahhh life.
So now I can drive myself to town, and then go other places. NO, I'm NOT coming to a neighborhood near you, or you, or anyone else! I'm just a gonna go look at autumn leaves, and get lots of pictures with my new camera
HEY, I can drive to the theater, the pool, ( oh that's closed now!) the thriftshops, antique stores, the park, the bar, ooppps, cancel that last one!
Whoopee!
