It's a peaceful day here, no sirens, no traffic, temperatures in the 70's with only a whispering breeze stirring the fallen leaves.
Chanel is camped out in the window sill, after having slept in my lap for 1 1/2 hours....and is listening to the birds that occasionally sing.
The bed is made, dishes washed, trash out, and all that remains is...
Closets to be straightened and cleaned, the filing cabinet needs to have order restored, and I need to finish allllllll the projects I have going! Which are many.
Until I get a power source? for my XP I can't put up the pictures from my digital camera and the videos I've made, so that is frustrating however not a big issue. It seems I no more than got the Kodak camera and "swish" there went the thingy for my puter...
I'm currently using my old Windows 98 that my son worked on, it now runs faster than my XP....and even though a driver is downloaded for the Kodak, it says my system won't support my Kodak share camera..sheesh, got more reading to do..
That poor closet of mine looks like a collection site for odds and ends...one used up monitor, my XP tower, a suitcase, AND many Christmas presents collecting for this year ******VBS****** I asked my son what he wanted for Christmas and he sent me the link, ahhh well I'm not done yet anyway
Things have changed for the best, for both of us, since we each got our own place. He's making tremdenous strides in his health, and is making new friends. A retired Air Force gentleman has taken my son under his wings, ( no pun intended there) and is helping him while others have told me how they are all trying to be there for him, sort of taking my place. While I am not going to share everything here that's happening for him, trust that he is happy, getting healthier, and our bond has improved.
He came to visit with me yesterday, took me to the Rx so I could get my meds, then we shopped and he picked up a calendar that I had my eye on, it's one of "Fantasy Horses". It's the best calendar of horses that I've seen or had yet!
He got us sandwiches at Subway, I usually go for the tuna however decided on a cold cut for a change, and we turned it into a time to talk while sitting in the car. Normally we'd sit inside Subway to eat, however it's small and always crowded.
I was disappointed to see him go home so soon, however know that now he has other places to go and things to do....so YAY! he's happy and content. Good way to be in the world, content with the day.

I saw a fancy surge protector at one of the local stores and it's really the thing to have I think. Not a cheapo either at $30.00
We had a major storm here a few nights ago, and whether it was a funnel cloud or a tornado touch down, it took the roof off of Wal-Mart, tore away the retainer wall, knocked down trees, signs and bent a steel pole in half.
There was house fires, downed power lines, so I really want to keep my computer and expensive microwave from being ruined by any storms.
I did get a video of the sky at the same time that the police scanner was talking about the funnel cloud and while it doesn't show a funnel cloud, that's a mighty dark and ominous wall cloud in it.

Well, I'm going to go and make some brownies for the gang for tomorrow, made some for my son last week, and I'm in a baking mood.
