Things are a bit wacky all over it seems. Foreverserenity's blog points were showing up when I went to her blog to comment on the hotdog story, Hey isn't that something? eating all those hotdogs? If someone wanted to have a contest like that, why not make the food something that people would LOVE to eat? like icecream? or steak? Bet I could win a hamburger or steak eating contest! Hands down!
I was in a meeting this morning and the lady on my right banged my right hand, which just happens to be the one where the RA is acting up, when she slid her chair towards me. Then the lady on my immediate left dropped her briefcase on my left shoulder. OH my, that felt good!
Last week I had called Fairview to get an appointment with the new podiatrist, and the woman that answered the phone said that "no, we have the same doctor as before", ( I"ll leave his name out of this) so I didn't make the appt. even though I desperately need new shoes and orthotics. So today I called and she informed me that she'd been wrong, and that they indeed do have a new physican there so now I've got an appt. to see him, get my left ankle exrayed, and get my stuff.
In two weeks I"m going way up north to have a piece of bone chip shaved off the inside of the roof of my mouth. It hurts me like all heck to try to wear my upper denture and also to chew.. nothing like biting down on food only to have that piece of bone push on your denture sending pain waves right to the brain.
Well it's hard getting used to that dang sleep apnea mask and gear...however when I use it, which is most of the night anyway, I feel so much more rested the next morning. It seems to be helping my memory too. Having sleep apnea, I've been learning, can be extremely dangerous to one's health! You can develop Congestive Heart Failure, have a stroke, heart attack, and like Jill said one can have a seizure too. Going to just have to ajust, the old "put up and shut up"!
So that's about all that's new around here, Chanel and Goldie are fine, I'm fine, and I had a fine 4th of July.
