1. Peace is often achieved through violence

2. Abusive people make us appreciate the kindness of others

3. Pain is nature's way of warning us that something is wrong.

I was just struck by the symbiotic relationship of the first 3.  The bad is bad only in isolation, and the good is not always good if we cannot appreciate it.

I understand the latter part,  all toooooo well.  However disagree  (mildly) with ya on the first part,  I think that abusive people that cause pain,  often through violence,  is always bad.  I guess I don't understand the isolation part you mention.

Sad that peace would be achieved through violence....to me a perversity...and ya,  abusive people,  like my ex,  have made me value kind people beyond belief!

Don't,  hehe,  get me started on pain....my current level of pain has caused me to skip supper last night,  now breakfast and I wouldn't be sitting here eating crackers cept I don't wanna get sick...

I got it coming to me i reckon,  I lifted a tv last night,  wayyyyyy too heavy for my back.

Yikes!  I might break open that bottle of Percocet yet...

thanks Dr.

I find that people who do nothing also make me appreciate kindness. So we don't need abusive people.

4. Animals make noise.

Nice to have lists of things, makes you appreciate listing things, or something.

I think I will ignore that comment, and do nothing.

That was a little abusive, Dr. Guy.

Yes,  most of them do.  I used to have,  or rather my ex had a pet rat named Snooper.  My son and I disagree on which rat was which,  meaning that over the course of time we had more than one.  They were quiet and one would eat toast and peanutbutter out of my hand!  If he didn't get his toast and peanutbutter in the morning,  when the rest of us were having breakfast he'd go into a corner of his cage and turn his back to us,  and not come out for the remainder of the day.

My cat is quiet,  except when she wants to be fed,  and then she doesn't have to really make crying noises as she gets taken care of first.

The horses my first husband and I had were quiet,  except for the Palomino mare,  she'd whinny when we'd come into the barn.

I think human animals make the most noise

Man that list could have gone on ...and on....I appreciate a lot of stuff!  especially feeling good!!
