Figuring out that new Kodak camera isn't as hard as I thought it would be for me.  Usually I have to read and re-read directions a cajillion time before I get it.

Tonight,  after figuring out how to use the video cam part,  the first two videos were of the cat,  then I spied a herd of crows perched on the garage roof,  LOL.  My Lord,  they were struting around and playing in the stagnant water like a bunch of teenage boys!

There is Elvis Presley music that was playing in the background and it made for quite a show!  It looked like they were dancing and swimming!

I also figured out how to use the "burst" mode. I can now,  quite proudly,  take pictures in that mode,  they shoot continuously either 6 pictures or 30.  I practiced several times as there's been a small gaggle of geese flying past my apt living room window,  so close it looks like they could drop in at any moment,  so this should make for a good series of pics.

Ever have an issue with buying something,  namely the wrong item at a store?  About a month ago I bought some ice cream cones and discovered that alas,  they were teeny-tiny cones,  meant for wee little ones.  Well I mean there WAS a picture of cake cones on the box,  along with little kids,  so I thought that meant that they were the kind I got when I was a child.  WELL they were,  sort of.

SOoooooo I gave them to my neighbor,  who has many little grandchildren.  Then I went and bought another box,  only these were,  picked up accidentally,  the "generic" kind.  They fell apart before even being picked out of the container!  Soooo....I went and got the absolutely correct kind.  They're bigger than "kids' cones"  and they're not "el cheapo" ones.

OH noooooo. ....they were sugar cones I thought,  and they are,  Sugar "Waffle" BOWLS!!  meant for desserts,  fruits,...ect.  Oh well,  at least I won't be dirting any dishes....

I tried eating at KFC here as that place has always had my fave chicken,   LOL,   not this town!  My son and me had dinner there one day,  shortly after I moved here,  and at the "all you can eat buffet"  there's a big sign telling people to "please only eat 2 pieces of chicken with your buffet lunch,  however there's no limit on the other food.  This will help us keep our prices down".

Hey it's an "all ya can eat buffet" folks!

So anyway we tried the chicken at Wal-Mart,  from their deli.  As far as I"m concerned it was dry, tasteless,  no seasoning I could detect,  and the skin was hard not crispy.

So today,  yesterday now,  we had chicken from Nelsons' grocery store and just like in Goldilocks and the Three Bears,  this one was JUST RIGHT!  Perfect chicken!  Juicy,  tender,  the skin wasn't nasty and was cooked to the point of being crisp enough to love yet not slimy on the underside!  Hurray!

What I didn't know about his town is that it has the highest record of drug abuse and crimes related to meth.  More than any other county.  Least that's my understanding of it.  That's a little scary.  Meth is like a plague in our U.S.  The users will do anything to get money for it,   so I wonder how safe the town is....

In the local news tonight a 7 year old boy was mauled to death by a pit bull.  This particular pit bull had already attacked 2 other people,  without provocation,  and I wonder why in god's name it wasn't put down then.  This animal broke free of it's chain,  in the basement and chewed the neck off the boy.

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd agree that a certain breed of dog should be erased from existance....I've always believed that it's how the dog is raised that determines how the dog would be around humans,  and other animals.  I thought good socializing was what counted for dogs.  Now I'm not sure.  I wonder what the statistics are of attacks from Pit Bulls.  If dogs look like they're owners,  or vice-versa,  I wonder what these owners look like and how "they are" in the world,  I wonder if they too are mean??

If I had a dog that had attacked a person,   regardless of the situation,  ( except to protect me and mine)  I'd have it put down immediately.

How about you JUsers?  Do you think pit bulls are just too dangerous to have?  or do you think that it would be an assult on our rights if Pit Bulls were outlawed?  Where does one draw the line when it comes to human safety versus our rights to own an animal?

All animals are dangerous, including people.

We've done this dance time, and time, and time again.

The difference between an agressive animal and a loving, caring animal is how the dog was raised. Don't blame the dog for having an asshole of an owner.

Why does LW's Frankie rip every animal it meets to shreds?
